Metall Comfort mini bunkers are made from high quality steel using the same manufacturing techniques as large bomb shelters.
As soon as you enter the updated bunker from a nuclear explosion, you will immediately notice the difference. The door has been upgraded to be bulletproof. Entering the upgraded 10 x 20 shelter, you will find bunk beds and a closet on your right. On the left you'll see a TV/DVD Combo to keep your family entertained. There is a dining table with seating benches for you to enjoy meals together. You will also notice the kitchen with lots of countertops, shelves and a sink. Moving further into the shelter, you will notice that it has a lot of storage space. The bathroom has a door, a tankless water heater, a composting toilet and a shower. This upgraded model offers more features than the base model at an affordable price. This shelter is great for a family of four.
What should be the depth of the bunker?
The optimal depth of placement of the bunker is indicated in the norms for the construction of shelters. However, it is possible to choose this parameter independently, based on the degree of danger in this area and the design of the shelter.
Requirements for the depth of placement of bunkers
The minimum depth of placement of the bunker for reliable protection of residents is 4 m. With such deepening, the remaining characteristics of the shelter must be ensured:
- The minimum distance from the floor to groundwater is 0.5 m. Modular hermetic bunkers with waterproofing are not afraid of water, so these requirements can be ignored.
- The height of the ceiling in the shelter is 2-2.2 m.
- The foundation thickness – 20-23 cm.
- The layer of earth above the ceiling is at least 1.5-2 m. The thickness of the earth embankment above the ceiling may be less, but in this case the layer of concrete above the ceiling must be increased.
Depth of digging into the ground bunkers for short-term residence
Light bunkers are often built from ready-made containers (containers, large-diameter pipes) or existing basements are remodeled for them. In such shelters, the depth of the bunker placement is less than in the requirements of Building regulations, and the main parameters can be as follows:
- The distance from the floor to the ceiling is 1.8-2 m.
- The ceiling thickness – 0.3-0.5 m.
- The earth embankment above the ceiling may not be present at all.
The safety of those living in the bunker largely depends on how the shelter is protected from above. In an open area, they try to dig the bunker into the ground as deep as possible. If the shelter is located in the basement of the house, it is additionally protected from above by the walls of the building, so the depth of its placement may be small. Which option to choose is up to each individually.
If you are looking for the most reliable and most profitable option that will protect you in the most critical situations, pay attention to the MAX MINI anti-nuclear bunker – it has everything you need to stay a family of 6 persons for 1 month.
Invest to save lives – yours and your loved ones!
